Nicole Cox, Karleigh Smith, and Brooke Smith combined for 48 points, while Cox, Kristen Curtis, and Hannah Lockenwitz combined for 30 rebounds to power the Woodland Lady Dragons to a 64-51 win over Sumner on Thursday night.
Cox recorded 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists to lead the Lady Dragons, Karleigh Smith had 16 points and four rebounds, while Brooke Smith had 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Curtis had 11 rebounds, while Lockenwitz had 10. Woodland out rebounded Sumner 42-25. Woodland (6-2) will play Narraguagus at the Cross Insurance Center on Friday.
Bri Flaherty led the Lady Tigers with a game high 22 points. Jenna Colby added 12 points. Sumner (3-5) will play at Deer Isle-Stonington on Saturday.
