GUILFORD- Dexter outscored PCHS 15-0 in the second quarter and never looked back in a 49-18 girls basketball win on Friday night.
Hannah Dean (5) and Cally Gudroe (4) combined to score nine points as the Lady Tigers held a 12-7 lead after the first quarter. Mazie Peach scored nine of her teams 15 points in the second quarter as the lead ballooned to 27-7 heading into halftime.
The Lady Tigers had eight different scorers as they cruised to their 12th win of the season. Dean scored a game high 15 points, and also recorded six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Peach filled up the stat sheet with 12 points, eight rebounds, five steals, and two blocks. Gudroe also finished in double figures with 10 points. Jozlynn Paige (4) and Abi Corson (3) combined for seven steals. Dexter (12-1) will play at George Stevens on Saturday. Peach was named Bangor Savings Bank Player of the Game.
Ava Goulette led the Pirates with eight points, seven rebounds, five blocks, and two steals. Brylee Ricker had seven rebounds. PCHS (7-8) will host Central on Monday.
