GUILFORD- The Dexter Tigers had six players finish with at least six points as they used that balanced attack to get a 69-42 win over PCHS on Friday night.
The Tigers held a 15-8 lead after the first quarter behind five points from Kayden Kimball and four each from Kellen Peavy and Bryce Connor. Will Kusnierz had nine points in the second quarter as the Tigers put up 20 and took a 35-22 lead heading into halftime.
Dexter put the game away when they outscored the Pirates 16-7 in the third quarter. Kusnierz highlighted the quarter with two dunks. He ended with 20 points, six rebounds, five steals, and four assists. Kusnierz was named Bangor Savings Bank Player of the Game. Kimball and Peavy had 11 points each. Connor had nine, while Ben Bourgoin came off the bench to put in seven points. Ethan Doherty had six points and two blocks. Dexter (13-1) will play at PVHS on Monday.
Brady Gaw scored a team high 20 points (3 three-pointers) and had two assists for the Pirates. Scott Chadbourne had 12 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. PCHS (5-9) will host Central on Monday.
A total of $3600 was raised for the Aliza Jean Family Cancer foundation.
