The Woodland Lady Dragons raced out to a 29-21 halftime lead and held off Lee Academy for a 54-50 girls basketball victory on Wednesday night.
Karleigh Smith had 23 points and four steals to lead the way for the Lady Dragons. Nicole Cox recorded 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals. The Lady Dragons went 15-20 from the free throw line, including Smith going 7-8. Woodland finished the regular season with a record of 11-7 and will play a class C preliminary round game next week.
Hayden Soucy led the Lady Pandas with 13 points, Aubrey Gifford and Harmony Vermazani added 10 points each. Lee (1-16) will end the season when they host Shead on Thursday night.
