BANGOR- East Grand would lead from start to finish on Saturday evening, taking a 45-27 victory over Machias in the first of the Class D quarterfinals at the Cross Insurance Center.
Phoebe Foss led the Vikings with 16 points, while Victoria Gilman would lead the team with 11 rebounds in the game. Isabella Cowger would lead the team with three blocks to go with 10 rebounds and five points of her own. Machias would be led by Kristin Grant who had eight points, with Jaydin Anderson and Skyler Tinker having seven points each. Anderson would also lead the Bulldogs with seven rebounds and two blocks. #6 East Grand (12-7) will advance and play the winner of Jonesport-Beals/Wisdom. Machias, the #3 seed, has their season end with a 15-4 record.
