BANGOR- Kason Ferguson had a double double with 24 points and 10 rebounds on Wednesday evening, leading the Machias Bulldogs to a 61-42 Maine Principals’ Association Class D boys semifinal win over the Schenck Wolverines at the Cross Insurance Center.
Machias (16-4) would jump out quick behind Ferguson who scored all 15 of the Bulldogs first quarter points, as they held a 15-13 advantage at the end of one. Schenck would never lead, as Machias would pull away to advance to a Saturday morning 10:45 regional final rematch against Southern Aroostook. Shane Feeney, who had a big quarterfinal as well, scored 21 points to go with 10 rebounds of his own. The Wolverines would be led by Ryan Ingalls as he had 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Mason McDunnah would add seven points to go along with seven rebounds and four steals. Schenck ends their season at 11-9.
