BANGOR- Jace Cook would score his 1000th career point in the third quarter on his way to a game-high 31 points, as the top ranked Calais Blue Devils rolled to a 70-47 Maine Principals’ Association Class C boys semifinal win over the Fort Fairfield Tigers at the Cross Insurance Center.
Calais (17-3) would never trail in the game as they now advance to play Fort Kent in the regional final on Saturday night, seeking their first regional crown since 2015. Matt Dana would add 12 points, and Jeremy Turner would lead the Blue Devils in assists and steals with five of each. Jacob Sockabasin had a team-high 15 rebounds. Fort Fairfield would be led by Gabe Theriault who had 15 points (five 3-pointers). Micah Daigle and Ethan Willard would contribute seven rebounds each. The season for the #4 Tigers ends with a 15-6 record. Calais will face the #2 Warriors of Fort Kent at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Saturday night for the North title.
