One of the greatest New England Patriots players of all-time has announced his retirement on Friday.
Defensive back Devin McCourty announced via his Twitter account that he is retiring after 13 seasons, all with New England. McCourty was selected 27th by the Patriots in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Rutgers. He’ll end his career as one of the most accomplished players in franchise history with three All-Pro nods, making the Pro Bowl as both a cornerback and a safety, and contributing to three Super Bowl Titles. He is currently third on the teams all-time interception list with 35.
