DOVER-FOXCROFT- Gage Beaudry had 92 total yards and three touchdowns on Friday night, in leading the Foxcroft Academy Ponies to a 54-6 victory over the John Bapst Crusaders in a Class D North football season opener at Oakes Field.
Foxcroft scored 42 of their 54 points on the ground, and chopped up 237 yards as a team with the rushing attack. Quarterback Wyatt Rayfield also was 5-8 passing for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Aiden Ouellette in the loss went 8-12 in the air for 64 yards and two interceptions for John Bapst. Logun McMahon had four catches for 58 yards. Nathan Butler had the only score for the Crusaders with a 90 yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter.
Foxcroft is back in action next Saturday afternoon when they travel to Oak Hill, while John Bapst will host Belfast on Thursday night at the University of Maine.
