The defending Class B State Champion Ellsworth Eagles had all 15 players score on Wednesday night, rolling to a season opening 94-20 win over Foxcroft Academy in girls basketball action in Dover-Foxcroft.
Ellsworth led from start to finish, and were sparked by Grace Jaffray who had a game-high 28 points. Abby Radel added 20 points, and Sydney Mason chipped in 12 points all in the second half. Also contributing was Addison Atherton with seven points, six rebounds, six assists, and eight steals and Kaylee Bagley came off the bench and provided two points, three rebounds, five assists, and five steals. The Eagles will host Hermon in their next game on Friday. Alli Cook had nine points and Allie Smith had six for 0-2 Foxcroft Academy. The Ponies will host Presque Isle on Saturday, a game that can be seen on Eastern Maine Sports Media with pregame coverage beginning at 2:45 p.m.
