The Woodland Lady Dragons scored 24 points in the fourth quarter to come back and defeat Washington Academy 52-45 at East Machias on Friday night.
Brooke Smith led the way with 23 points, seven rebounds, and five steals for the Lady Dragons. Chloe Farrar and Mischun Cornelius finished with 10 points each. Meadow Rohde had 12 points to lead Washington Academy.
The Lady Dragons trailed by five at halftime, and by four heading into the final quarter. Washington Academy (1-1) will host Houlton on Saturday. Woodland (2-1) will play at Jonesport-Beals on Monday.
