Fitzsimmons had 72% of the 253 votes. He joins Logan Wood (3) (5-16-15), Tate Dolley (2) (2-16-15), Kate Whitney (2)- (6-7-15), Ciara Schoppee (10-18-15), and Jaida Case (5-11-23) as student/athletes from Machias high school that have earned athlete of the week honors.
