The Penobscot Valley High School (PVHS) Howlers jumped out to a 27-8 lead after the first eight minutes and they never looked back in a 76-37 girls basketball win over Woodland at Baileyville on Thursday afternoon.
Rylee Moulton had 26 points to lead a trio of Lady Howlers in double figures. Moulton had 4 three pointers. Ellie Austin put in 18 points, while Lila Cummings had 10 points and eight rebounds. PVHS (5-1) forced 28 Woodland turnovers and held a 51-13 halftime lead. The Lady Howlers are next scheduled to play on January 3rd at Stearns.
Karleigh Smith led the Lady Dragons with 21 points, including 6 three pointers. Woodland (4-3) will next play on January 2nd at Jonesport-Beals.
