Mazie Peach recorded a double double on Wednesday night, as the Dexter Tigers rolled to a 49-31 win over Central in a Class C girls basketball game played at Ed Guiski Gymnasium in Dexter.
Dexter built a nine point lead after one quarter, and a 17 point halftime advantage in improving their record to 11-1 on the season. Peach had 27 points, 17 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Abi Corson added five points and four assists, Desiree Adams four points, four rebounds, and three assists, Kallie Stone four points and four rebounds, and Cally Gudroe contributed three points, four rebounds, four steals, and two steals. The Tigers outrebounded Central 33-17, and shot 6-14 from the free throw line. Mary Allen led the Red Devils (7-5) with 17 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two blocks. Bayleigh Irish chipped in eight points and four rebounds. Allen either scored or assisted on all the field goals from the floor for Central. They shot 2-3 at the line.
Dexter returns to action on Friday at George Stevens Academy, while Central plays at PVHS on Monday.
