DEXTER- The Dexter Lady Tigers scored the first 13 points and never looked back in a 53-12 win over Stearns at Ed Guiski Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
Mazie Peach scored eight points in the first quarter and Abi Corson drilled a deep three-pointer to beat the end of the quarter buzzer and give Dexter a 16-3 advantage after the first eight minutes of play. Corson did it again to beat the halftime buzzer and send the Lady Tigers into intermission with a 28-5 lead.
Dexter had a balanced attack led by Peach with 17 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. Cally Gudroe also finished in double figure with nine points. The Lady Tigers had nine different scorers. Corson added eight points. Desiree Adams had six points, 10 rebounds, and four steals. Carley Coffman chipped in with four points. Other Dexter scorers include Annbelle Peakes, Kallie Stone, Lily Bagley, and Brooklyn Dorman. Hannah Dean had five rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
