BANGOR- Madelynn Deprey had 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks to lead the Caribou Lady Vikings to a 58-24 win over Belfast in a Class B girls basketball MPA quarterfinal game played on Saturday afternoon at the Cross Insurance Center.
The Vikings had six different scorers in the first quarter, as they jumped out to an 18-5 lead. Caribou outscored Belfast 8-4 in the second quarter to take a 26-8 advantage into intermission. DePrey had 19 points in the second half as Caribou outscored the Lions 32-15.
Jaiden Philhrook had seven points and six rebounds to lead the Lady Lions. Belfast finishes the season with a record of 12-7. Liv Adams and Brianna Levesque had seven points and five steals for the Lady Vikings. Caribou (13-6) will play Ellsworth or Presque Isle in a semifinal game on Wednesday.
