BANGOR- Fort Fairfield outscored Dexter 37-22 in the second half to pull away for a 57-46 win over Dexter in a MPA Class C boys basketball quarterfinal game played on Monday afternoon the Cross Insurance Center.
Dexter outscored Fort Fairfield 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 24-20 lead into intermission. Bryce Cooper had 12 first half points for Dexter.
Micah Daigle and Brett Senal each had six points in the third quarter as Fort Fairfield outscored Dexter 17-7 in the period. Fort Fairfield shot 7-9 from the free throw line in the fourth to secure the win.
Daigle had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Fort Fairfield. Senal added 17 points (7-8 FT). Fort Fairfield (13-6) will play Mount View in a semifinal game on Thursday. Cooper had 17 points to lead Dexter, who finishes the season 8-12.
