The Sanford Mainers, who play in one of the more premiere college baseball summer leagues (NECBL), open up their 2024 regular season on Tuesday night with a visit to Montpelier, Vermont to take on the Vermont Mountaineers.
Sanford will again have some locally grown talent from the Pine Tree State on their roster. Last season, Jeremiah Jenkins who plays first base for the UMaine Black Bears, was one of the bigger local names. This season, third baseman Jackson Curtis (Ellsworth, Maine and Ellsworth High School) who just graduated from Husson University will see time on the Mainers infield. Lefthander pitcher Colton Trisch, who played at Bangor High School, and has spent his first two collegiate years playing baseball at George Washington University, will join the Sanford staff. Lefty Clay Robbins (Auburn, Maine and Edward Little High) who just finished up his junior year at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, will see time on the hill as well. Here is the full roster that represents 28 different college and universities across the U.S.-
