The University of Maine Director of Athletics Jude Killy announced on Tuesday the seventh head softball coach in school history with the hiring of Kimberly Stiles. Stiles has over 300 collegiate career wins on her head coaching resume.
Stiles will take over a struggling Black Bears program, which was under the direction of Jordan Fitzpatrick over the last three years. Killy announced on May 31 that Fitzpatrick wouldn’t be returning as head coach. Maine has gone 29-117 and 9-47 in America East play over those last three seasons combined.
