Gabe Nason and Rich Rotella remained in a tie for first place in the Eastern Maine Sports NFL picks contest this past weekend as they both went 2-2 in the Divisional Playoff Round. One of them will become champion, while the other can finish no lower than second. Marc Calnan was the only expert to predict all four games correctly. Only four teams remain, soon to be two, as we’ll know by late Sunday night who is headed to New Orleans for Super Bowl 59. Five out of our seven experts believe it’s going to be Philadelphia and Buffalo advancing.
This Sunday it’s the NFC and AFC Championship games, beginning in the NFC with the #6 seed Washington Commanders in the conference title game for the first time in 33 years after an upset over the top seeded Detroit Lions. Washington will travel to the city of brotherly love to take on their NFC East rival the Philadelphia Eagles. The teams split their regular season meetings. In the AFC Title game at Arrowhead Stadium, it’ll be the fourth playoff matchup since 2020 between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs as KC tries to advance to their fifth Super Bowl in the last six years and also tries to win their third straight. The Bills won the lone single season meeting in Buffalo 30-21 on November 17. Here is the schedule of the two games we’re picking, followed by our standings, Divisional Playoff results/season record, and our Conference Championship predictions.
