Duke freshman and Newport, Maine native Cooper Flagg is the winner of the 2025 Wooden Award. He becomes just the fourth freshman in the history of the award to earn the honor.
The Wooden Award, given annually to the best college basketball in the country, was announced Saturday on ESPN’s College GameDay. Flagg edged out Johni Broome from Auburn, while Walter Clayton Jr. (Florida), Marc Sears (Alabama), and Braden Smith (Purdue) were the other finalists.
