Former University of Maine goaltender Victor Ostman was called up by the Seattle Kraken from the AHL affiliate the Coachella Valley Firebirds on Tuesday, and would make his NHL debut in the third period of a 7-1 loss to the Utah Hockey Club.
Ostman stopped all 12 shots he faced after being recalled on an emergency basis. Ostman has primarily played for the ECHL affiliate the Kansas City Mavericks this season where he has posted a record of 21-7-4 with a 2.52 goals against average to go along with a .903 save percentage and two shutouts. The Swedish netminder went 35-38-7 in 86 collegiate games at Maine with a 2.82 GAA and a save percentage of .905.
