John Frye has been a longtime coach at Searsport High School. The Athletic Complex is named “John Frye Athletic Complex”.
He was hoping to come back and coach the Vikings baseball team for one more season. At a school board meeting on Tuesday, April 8th it was voted down by the school board 1-2. There will be another meeting on Monday, April 14th on this issue. At this time, the Vikings season is in jeopardy.Full Story from Midcoast Villager
