Isaac Downing had two hits to lead Woodland baseball to a 3-2 preseason win over Sumner on Friday afternoon.
Micah Chesebrough started on the mound for the Dragons, pitched two innings, allowing only one hit and struck out four. Downing pitched one scoreless inning. Liam O’Neill pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four. Nolan Sewell pitched a scoreless inning to close out the Dragons win. Gaige Farrar reached base twice and stole four bases.
Cole Faulkingham pitched four scoreless innings for the Tigers.
