Linus Hemstrom scored a game winning second period goal, as the Maine Mariners closed their 2024-25 season with a 4-2 ECHL victory over the Adirondack Thunder at the Cross Insurance Arena on Sunday afternoon. The Mariners set a franchise record for attendance in a single game with 6,361 fans on hand in Portland.
Maine ends the season with a 33-35-4 record, missing out on the Kelly Cup Playoffs for just a second time in their six years of existence. Their seventh ECHL season begins in October.
