The 2025 NFL Draft got underway Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Cam Ward, quarterback from the University of Miami, was the #1 overall and is headed to the Tennessee Titans.
The New England Patriots addressed one of their off-season needs when they selected 6 foot 6, 323 pound offensive tackle Will Campbell from LSU with their first round pick at #4 overall. New England also has the #6 pick in round two, #5 in round three, #4 in round four, #6 and #35 in round five, and #4 and #22 in round seven.
In a surprise in round one, the Cleveland Browns traded their #2 pick for the #5 pick in the first round with extra draft compensation to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags took two-way player Travis Hunter out of Colorado with that second overall pick. QB Shedeur Sanders, Hunters teammate with the Buffaloes and son of Colorado coach Deion Sanders, didn’t get selected in the first round after being projected to be picked there.
