Jillian Severance dominated in the circle and a four run eighth inning gave Orono softball a 5-1 win at Mattanawcook on Monday afternoon.
The game was scoreless through six innings, each team scored a run to send the game to extra innings. In the eighth inning, Ava Jurdak gave Orono a lead, Isabella Pardilla followed with a three run him to give the Red Riots a four run lead.
Aria Porter had three hits to lead the Orono offense. Severance allowed one run on three hires and two walks, while striking out 18.
Kalista Lazo had two hits to lead the Lynx offense. Julianna Cloukey gave up five runs (four earned) on nine hits and three walks, while striking out six.
