Maine Maritime Academy men’s lacrosse plays Wednesday in NCAA Tournament

The Maine Maritime Academy men’s lacrosse team will be headed to Nashua, New Hampshire to play in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Wednesday.

The Mariners (10-5) capped off the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Sunday by beating SUNY Delhi 14-12 in the title game in Castine. Their opponent will be the regional host Rivier University. The Raiders are 16-1 and also went 9-0 in the GNAC in the regular season, and won their league championship by topping Lasell 9-7 in the conference final. Rivier is also 10-1 in home games this season and have won 14 games in a row. It is the third appearance in the NCAA Tournament for Maine Maritime Academy, who had previous trips in 2022 and 2023. The game time for Wednesday is set for 4 p.m.
