The Bangor Babes will be returning for a second season to compete in the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League this summer. The Babes won the GNCBL Championship in their first season in 2024, and once again will be playing their home games at the Winkin Complex on the campus of Husson University in Bangor.
The all-wooden bat league will consist of 20 regular season games followed by playoffs. The other five teams representing the GNCBL will be the Augusta Sturgin’ Surgeon, Old Orchard Beach Bugs, South Portland Puffins, Sebago Slammin’ Salmon, and the Waterville Woodworkers. Bangor will bring in several area players that most fans will recognize that include pitchers Cole Payne (Bangor Christian, SMCC), Grady Vanestidine (Bangor, Endicott College), infielder Peter Keblinsky (Ellsworth, University of Southern Maine), among others. The team president is Jeff Musgrove, with Colton Albertson acting as general manager. The Babes head coach is Trevor Delaite, and he is assisted by Derek Fournier.
