Hayden Strout had three hits, including a homer and Lucas Sands pitched five strong innings to lead Foxcroft baseball to a 9-4 win over Orono on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ponies built a 3-0 lead after three innings. Orono put up four to take a lead in the fifth inning. Foxcroft exploded for six in the sixth inning, the big hit was a three run homer from Strout. Sands allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and five walks, while striking out 11. Calvin Landry picked up the win, pitching two innings, he didn’t allow any runs or hits, while walking one and striking out one. Sands, Strout, and Thomas Day scored two runs each. Griffin Caruso had two RBI.
Noah Schaff and Matt Allen had two hits each for the Red Riots.
