Brewer softball came back to defeat Edward Little 8-7 on Wednesday night at Cofffin Field in a Class A North battle.
The Witches trailed 7-4 in the bottom of the seventh, before scoring three runs to force extra innings and won it on a walk-off hit by Jillian Ford in the eighth. Paige Oakes went 5-5 at the plate with a RBI, while Sara Young and Emma Jameson each had three hits. Young had two RBI and Jameson had one. Ford and Olivia Bragdon added two hits and one RBI each. Jameson, Bragdon, and Ford also scored two runs a piece. Young went the distance in the circle allowing seven runs (only two earned) on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Brewer is now 8-4 and is scheduled to host Mt. Ararat on Friday.
