Katahdin sweeps baseball doubleheader from Madawaska

Wesley Pipes went 3-3 at the plate and got the pitching win, while Conor Schmidt and Addison Young drove in two runs each as Katahdin baseball defeated Madawaska 7-4 in game one of a doubleheader on Monday afternoon. Pipes went five innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

Katahdin also took game two 8-4. Connor Edwards, Bradley Swallow, and Young had two hits a piece. Calvin Richardson pitched three innings allowing two earned runs on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts to get the win on the hill for the Cougars.
