Cayden Karam and Lucas Rutherford combined for a two-hit shutout on Tuesday at Hermon High School, as the Bangor Rams baseball team downed the Hawks 8-0.
Teddy Stephenson, Kyle Johnson, Owen Glanville-True, and Karam all had two hits in the Bangor win. Jacoby Harvey had two RBI, while Johnson, Owen Glanville-True, and Karam drove in a run each. Stephenson also scored two runs and stole two bases. Karam pitched the first 5.0 innings allowing just one hit and two walks, while striking out eight. Rutherford finished up allowing one hit no walks and two strikeouts. Brayden Ladd and Conner McAlpine had the hits for Hermon. Max Hopkins took the loss on the mound giving up five runs on seven hits in 3.0 innings.
