Thomas Day hit three homeruns and drove in seven runs on Monday afternoon, while Foxcroft Academy hit five homers as a team in a 14-1 Class C baseball win over Central in East Corinth.
Day hit a pair of two-run homeruns, and a three-run shot. His first two-run homer came in the opening inning, providing the Ponies all they needed in improving to 12-2 on the season. Josh Knapp and Aiden Harvey had two hits a piece, while Lucas Sands and Ashton Day each added two RBI. Sands and Calvin Landry had the other homeruns. Hayden Strout scored four runs, and Thomas Day scored three. Strout also got the victory on the mound by pitching 2.0 perfect innings with five strikeouts. Elias Porter had the lone hit for the Red Devils (2-13), who scored their run on an error. Alex Kennedy gave up six earned runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings on the hill.
