Abby Folsom hit a game winning three-run homerun in the bottom of the sixth inning on Monday night, leading Bangor softball to a 7-6 come from behind win over Brewer.
The Rams had a 4-2 lead early after two innings, but the Witches took the lead back when they scored three times in the fourth on a pair of RBI singles by Jillian Ford and Olivia Bragdon and a steal of home plate by Jordin Williams. Ford then led off the sixth inning with a solo homerun to centerfield to make it 6-4 Brewer. In the bottom half of the sixth for Bangor (12-4), Emily Adams led off and reached on an error before Gabby Goding doubled. Folsom followed with her game winning three-run homer to left. The Witches had the tying run and go ahead run in scoring position with two outs in the seventh, but Emma Tripp struckout Williams swinging to end it. Folsom had three hits and five RBI to lead the Rams. Goding added two hits, stole two bases, and scored three runs. Tripp worked a complete game in the circle allowing four earned runs on nine hits with five walks and nine strikeouts. Ford, Paige Oakes, and Sara Young had two hits each for Brewer who ends their regular season with a record of 11-5. Ford drove in two and scored twice. Young also went the distance in the circle giving up five earned runs on seven hits with no walks and three strikeouts.
