Deegan Scott had two singles, a double, five RBI, and two runs scored in leading Sumner baseball to a 10-4 win over Searsport. Scott won male athlete of the week in our closest vote ever. He got six more votes than Daniel Gardner (Washington Academy). Scott, who is only a freshman, joins Damon Warren (10-28-18), Bristol Parritt (10/19/24), Logan Crowley (12-26-24), and Connor Eastman (1-22-25) as student/athletes from Sumner High School that have earned athlete of the week honors.
