Lauren Veino recorded her 500th career strikeout, striking out 15 in leading PVHS to an 11-0 five inning win over Stearns. It is the third athlete of the week honor for the junior. Her second as a student/athlete for Penobscot Valley, she also won one for Penquis High School. Veino finished 116 votes ahead of Brooklyn Decker (Penquis). Full results are below.
