Husson alum (’17) Zach Sugar has been named as the new baseball coach for the Eagles, the school announced in a press release on Thursday.
Sugar has served for the past seven seasons under head coach Chris Morris as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Morris recently left the program to become the new head coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Sugar, who played as an infielder for Husson in 2015 and 2016, also served as head coach of the Hampden Riverdogs in 2019 leading the legion team to a state championship and a berth in the New England Regionals. He takes over an Eagles team that has won the last five North Atlantic Conference Championships, amassing an overall record of 121-73 during those five seasons.
