Rienhardt and Kain lead Dexter/PCHS to prelim win over Fort Kent

Willis Rienhardt pitched a gem and Noah Kain had three hits to lead Dexter/Piscataquis baseball to a 5-1 Class C preliminary round win over Fort Kent on Wednesday afternoon.

Rienhardt allowed one run on six hits and one walk, while striking out four. He threw 59 pitches/44 strikes. Kain and Rienhardt had two RBI each. Brady Gaw had two hits and scored two runs. Dexter (11-6) will play at top seed Foxcroft on Thursday at 4 pm in a quarterfinal game.

Carter Desjardins had two hits and one RBI for the Warriors. Desjardins allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and three walks, while striking out eight. Fort Kent finishes the season with a record of 8-9.
