Edward Little magical ride takes them to regional championship win over Bangor

Kylee Lebrun reached base three times, including two hits and one RBI to lead Edward Little to a 4-1 win over Bangor in the Class A softball Northern Maine championship game on Tuesday.

It is the first regional championship for the Red Eddies since 1997. The number seven seed defeated #2 Oxford Hills in the quarterfinals, #3 Brewer in the semifinals, and top seed Bangor in the regional final.

Lebrun, Alexis Kelsea, and Elizabeth Galway had two hits each foe the Red Eddies. Kassidy Lobb and Chloe LeBlanc combined to pitch a four hitter. Edward Little will take on Windham in the Class A state championship game on Saturday, June 21st at 4 pm at St. Joseph’s College, Standish.

Gabby Goding scored one run, while Abby Folsom had one RBI for the Rams. Emma Tripp allowed four runs (two earned) on nine hits and three walks, while striking out nine.
