AUGUSTA, Maine – Charlotte Belanger (Ocean Park, ME), an incoming freshman on the women’s soccer team at the University of Maine announced today she has signed a name, image and likeness (NIL) partnership with Aroma Joe’s Development Office of Maine and New Hampshire. Belanger becomes the tenth community ambassador for the New England-based coffee shop. She will use her name, image and likeness to spread positivity and promote community events in New England, with a focus on the communities around the locations in Saco and Orono.
The NIL partnership was brokered by Pliable Marketing, a Maine-based marketing company that specializes in athlete branding. The company’s list of athlete branding clients includes more than 35 high school, college, and professional athletes from across the country.
Belanger, 18, excelled at Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) where she finished her career with an outstanding season earning a spot on the 1st Team All-Conference team, Senior All-Star team, All-State Team and New England All-Region team and All-Academic team. She currently plays for Seacoast United before joining the Black Bears this fall.
This past season, Belanger received the Dr. Richard Costello Memorial Award awarded to three girls and three boys from Maine based on their leadership, sportsmanship, and skill.

“As a college athlete, I am excited about the opportunity to pursue name, image and likeness opportunities. Partnering with Aroma Joe’s as a community ambassador was perfect because I am proud of the community I am from, and obviously I love their drinks. I also wanted to support a company that provides opportunities for Maine high school and college athletes. I am excited to spread positivity in Saco and Orono, plus several communities across Maine and beyond,” said Belanger.
Since the start of NIL, the partnership between Charlotte Belanger and Aroma Joe’s Development Office of Maine and New Hampshire marks the tenth community ambassador for the brand. As part of the NIL partnership, Belanger will make a series of social media posts about Aroma Joe’s, her community involvement and the company’s community events. She will also be compensated for using her name, image and likeness for player appearances, as well as other promotional content.
“Pliable has been instrumental in the roll out of our NIL Community Ambassador program. We are trailblazers in this space and are spreading positivity by showcasing great athletes who are also amazing people and want to give back to their communities. We are very excited to work with Charlotte as she heads up to the University of Maine. She is going to be able to spread a lot of positivity especially around the Saco and Orono locations and across New England. She is going to be a great role model for young kids to look up to,” said Crystal Brown, Community Marketing Manager for Aroma Joe’s Development ME/NH.
Recently, Belanger signed with Pliable Marketing for NIL representation which provides her with athlete branding services, including access to a wide range of partnership opportunities with local and national companies. She works closely with Greg Glynn, a registered NIL marketing agent at Pliable to create and secure NIL opportunities with partnerships that align well with her passions and future career. Pliable supports Boulanger to find NIL opportunities, help with contract negotiations with brands, and manage her NIL partnerships.
“Charlotte is a very talented soccer player and I am very excited for her to start her career at the University of Maine. After a very successful career on and off the field at Thornton Academy, she is ready to take the next step in her academic and athletic career, so this partnership is perfect for her. Aroma Joe’s has been leading the way in Maine by providing NIL opportunities for athletes and supporting their aspirations through NIL opportunities. They have been among the first Maine companies to provide NIL opportunities and it is paying off for the athletes and their brand. Aroma Joe’s Development Office has seen first-hand how NIL can be beneficial for athletes far beyond their sport, it’s a powerful thing,” said Greg Glynn, founder & CEO of Pliable.
