The Husson University softball team announced the addition of Braelynn Wilcox to its 2025 recruiting class.
Wilcox comes to Husson from Hermon High School where she played varsity softball. A three-time Penobscot Valley Conference All-Conference honoree, she earned second-team honors in 2023 and first-team recognition in 2024 and 2025.
The 2025 PVC Pitcher of the Year and Miss Maine Softball Finalist is a two-time Paul Soucy Award Winner and helped guide her team to back-to-back Class B Northern Maine Runner-Up finishes in 2022 and 2023, a Northern Maine Championship in 2025, and a State of Maine Runner-Up performance in 2025.
“I chose Husson because of its small community feel, which immediately felt like home,” said Wilcox. “It’s an incredible opportunity to continue my academic career in a strong, well-respected program while also playing for four more years in a successful and competitive softball program. I’m truly grateful to be coached by such a dedicated staff and to be part of an amazing team of girls.” While at Husson, Wilcox plans to study health sciences.
