Sanford Mainers win third straight game by defeating North Shore

The Sanford Mainers capped off a perfect three days on Saturday evening by defeating the North Shore Navigators 4-1 at Frasier Field in Lynn, Massachusetts in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.

Brennan Hudson (University of Georgia) provided the game winner for Sanford with a two-run homerun in the second inning. Ryan Kolben (Cumberland Foreside, Maine and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst) had two hits for the Mainers. Connor Ball (Stetson University) picked up his first pitching victory of the summer by going 5.0 innings allowing one run on six hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Sam Mitchell (University of Alabama) earned the 2.0 inning save giving up no runs and no hits while walking two and striking out two.

The Mainers (10-13), currently in second place in the North Division and on their first three game win streak of the season, will take on North Shore again on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at Goodall Park in Sanford.
