Skowhegan rallied from a three run deficit to grab a 5-3 win over Downeast Captains in a Senior Legion tournament game at Madison High School on Monday night.
Fisher Tewksbury and Brady Gaw had two hits each for Skowhegan. Gaw scored two runs. Bryson Howard had two RBI. Nate Willis and Jason Aube each reached base two times. Silas Tibbetts got the complete game win, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Skowhegan will play at Hampden on Tuesday night.
Daniel Gardner had two RBI for Downeast Captains. Trevor Shimabukuro scored two runs. Shimabukuro allowed five runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks,he struck out seven. Downeast Captains will play in an elimination game on Thursday.
