Roderick-Crosby eliminated at Senior Legion Baseball Northeast Regional

The great run by the Roderick-Crosby Post 28 Flyers came to an end on Thursday afternoon, as they fell 2-0 to the host team Shrewsbury, Massachusetts (Post 387) in an elimination game of the American Senior Legion Baseball Northeast Regional played in Shrewsbury.

The Maine State Champion Flyers had three hits in ending their season with a record of 16-3. Shrewsbury scored the only runs needed in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie on RBI singles from both Connor Rice and Jackson Lucarelli. Nolan Leso led Roderick-Crosby with two hits for a second straight day, after notching a pair with a RBI in an opening round loss to St. Johnsbury, Vermont on Wednesday. Leso also pitched the first 3.2 innings on the mound allowing no runs on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Aiden Wilkins suffered the loss in relief giving up two runs on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts over the final 2.1 innings.
