Portland Sea Dogs winding down the regular season

The Portland Sea Dogs are winding down their 2025 regular season.

Portland would have to catch fire and get some help with 26 games left in the second half of the Eastern League campaign in order to make the postseason. The Sea Dogs are 20-22, good for fourth place in the Northeast Division, 9.0 games behind the first place Binghamton Rumble Ponies (NY Mets). Binghamton also won the first half of the season and has already clinched a spot in the playoffs.

Overall, Portland has a record of 54-55. The Dogs are currently playing a home series with the Somerset Patriots (NY Yankees) and has won three of the first four contests of the six game series including a pair of 3-2 victories on Thursday and Friday. The final home game of the year will fall on Sunday, September 7th against Eerie while the final regular season game of the 2025 season will be the week after on Sunday, September 14 at Binghamton.
