Bates Field Hockey remains unbeaten with shutout win over Husson

The Bates College Field Hockey Team, off to their best start since 1983 and ranked #8 in the country, continued their strong play with a 7-0 win over Husson on Saturday in Lewiston.

Sophia Cordoni scored two goals, and five other Bobcats registered one goal each to help improve their record to 5-0. The shots attempted were 19-2 Bates (11-2 on net), while also having a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners. Lilly Hogan, Elsa Copeland, Sophie O’Sullivan, Brooke Moloney-Kolenberg, and Lucy Norris were the other goal scorers while Ava Donohue and Kaili Jacobsen combined for the shutout in the cage. Ella Duchette made three saves for the 0-2 Husson Eagles.
