Addi Laslie (Ellsworth) had two goals, while Paige Dunn and Jacquie Pangburn (John Bapst) added a goal each on Saturday afternoon as Husson women’s soccer defeated the University of Maine-Fort Kent 4-2 at Boucher Field in Bangor.
Laslie scored both of her goals in the first two minutes of action at 34 seconds and 1:53, and now has five tallies in the first five games of the season. Dunn had the eventual winner at 4:28, while Pangburn added her third of ths year near the end of the first half at 38:54. Keldonna Jeffery and Shylah Francis scored in the second half for UMFK as the Bengals fall to 0-3. Gabriella Smith (Biddeford) and Madison Weigler combined to make one save in net in the victory for the 3-2 Eagles. Husson is back in action next Saturday at 1 p.m. when they host Lesley University in the North Atlantic Conference opener.
