Maine women’s hockey picked in a tie for seventh in Hockey East Coaches Poll

Hockey East also announced the Women’s Hockey Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday, and for a second straight season the University of Connecticut is the favorite for 2025-26.

UConn got five first places votes and a total of 86 points in the poll, while Boston University also had five votes for first and 82 points. Northeastern rounded out the top three with 76 points. Maine is slated in a tie for seventh with Vermont with 41 points. The Black Bears have made the league playoffs the last four seasons, falling in the quarterfinals as the #6 seed to #3 Boston College last year. Below is the full poll-
