UNE women’s soccer remains hot, shutting out Salve Regina University

The University of New England women’s soccer team continued their red hot play on Wednesday evening, shutting out Salve Regina University 3-0 in a non-conference matchup played at Toppa Field in Newport, Rhode Island.

Brooke Pierotti had the game winning goal in the 20th minute for the Nor’Easters, as they are now unbeaten in eight of their last nine games. Amy Hatfield and Gillian McGee also scored, while Haley Coombs played the first 70 minutes in net and made five saves to get the victory in helping her team shutout their fourth different opponent. UNE (7-2-2) will host Thomas College in more non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
